So, a Plaid Pantry clerk, who possibly saved customers’ lives and maybe his own, is fired for pulling a pistol on a hatchet-wielding would-be robber (May 28). Naturally, the robber drops the hatchet and runs. Would Plaid Pantry rather have had the miscreant kill a few people? He dropped the hatchet because he had to. The clerk should get a raise. Common sense has disappeared, and stupidity and political correctness have taken over.
