TEWKSBURY -- The Lions Club is gearing up for third annual Spaghetti Supper to benefit the Tewksbury Community Pantry.

Two years ago, the Lions Club presented a $5,000 check to the food pantry and raised $5,600 at last year's supper. Last year, the Sons of Italy teamed up with the Lions Club to host the event.

"This year, my fingers are crossed that we're going to go over $6,000," said Lions Club member Jerry Selissen.

The event is set to take place Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. at the Tewksbury Country Club. Tickets are $10 each and up to 300 people can be seated. All proceeds will go to the food pantry.

"Last year it was a big sell out," Selissen said. "You can't beat it, in my opinion. For $10 you get spaghetti and meatballs, salad and dessert. The only thing you have to pay for is your drink."

Selissen said the organization is also looking for corporate sponsors. This time around, sponsors can make a one-time payment of $350 to sponsor three Lions Club events: the Spaghetti Supper, Sock Hop and Golf Tournament.

Tickets can be purchased from Lions Club member and five locations in town: Schlott Tire, 530 Main St;.Bradford Lantern, 853 Main St.; Enterprise Bank, 1120 Main St.; TJ Callahan's, 1475 Main St.; Neighborhood Parcel, 1215 Main St.
