The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit served 82 shoppers yesterday at its food pantry–its largest group since the pantry opened in 2016.
But, as you can see, Holy Spirit needs to restock before it re-opens the pantry at the end of June. The church says it is completely out of laundry detergent, mayonnaise, peanut butter, paper towels, toilet paper, personal care supplies (toothpaste, soap, shampoo) and cleaning products. It is also low on tuna, cereal, coffee and ketchup. If the church is not open when you need to drop off donations, look for the covered bin by the side door.
Holy Spirit’s food pantry is open from 9 to 11 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of every month, which means the next open date is June 22. Anyone in need is welcome. If you need assistance in an emergency before this date, contact the church office at [email protected] or leave a voicemail at (973) 239-2850 to make arrangements. The church works to ensure the anonymity of food pantry shoppers.
