Community rallies for Cheyenne church's food pantry - KGWN
CHEYENNE, Wyo - A community has rallied for a Cheyenne church, and helped them fill their food pantry.
The Calvary Chapel in Cheyenne recently posted on social media about the need at their food pantry. Councilman Richard Johnson saw the post and shared it and following CBS Newschannel 5's story on it, many people stepped up to help.
Well now, the food pantry is almost completely full!
Assistant pastor Aaron Kor says there the community has been more than generous. "There's thousands and thousands of dollars worth of food and I wouldn't be able to give you a quantitative answer, but people have brought a lot of stuff and it's going to help a lot of people."
The food pantry is open year round during the church's business hours of 9-5, Monday through Friday. And, donations are accepted year round as well.
