Thousands come to Milford Alive! (PHOTOS)
Their participation in this event was critical to the safe and fun day everyone had at Milford Alive.
We would also like to thank our numerous volunteers who tirelessly worked to ensure there was enough extra hands to fill in the gaps and to The Hunterdon Democrat and NJ.com for posting numerous press releases.
Next year Milford Alive will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23. Visit our Facebook page or our website to see photos from this year's event.

On Sunday, Oct. 9, I attended the Hunterdon Land Trust Farm to Table Gala at the Beaver Brook Country Club, which was held in celebration of the Land Trust's 20th anniversary.
The food prepared by local Chefs was absolutely delicious and was a great way to sample the flavors of restaurants in our area.
The Hunterdon Land Trust demonstrates when volunteers working with local, state and federal grants are partnered with local and state environmental non-profit organizations great things can be accomplished.
Did you know that in the past 20 years the Hunterdon Land Trust has preserved over 8,400 acres of fields, forest and farmlands; established miles of trails where anyone can hike, horseback ride, cross country ski or simply enjoy nature; and protected vital drinking water sources, pollinators and wildlife.
The Hunterdon Land Trust has also safeguarded one of the county's most iconic properties: The 48-acre Dvoor Farm.
In addition to the Hunterdon Land Trusts 20-year anniversary, the Farmers' Market celebrated its 10th successful year in June. It's a fabulous place to get in season farm fresh products.
This Sunday, Oct. 16, is the annual apple tasting at the Farmer's Market. A tasting table will be set up where you can sample a variety of apples including ginger golds and honey crisps. Apples will be supplied by the local farmers.
The market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located at 111 Mine St., in Flemington. Visit the Land Trust website for more information.
I want to thank all the volunteers who have made this organization a success. Congratulations to Roger Harris who received the first Treasure Hunterdon Award. Thank you for a wonderful event.

The Flemington Area Food Pantry is indebted to the Hunterdon/Somerset Association of Realtors for its extremely successful food drive Saturday.
The pantry received 1,002 bags for a total of 5,390 lbs. of groceries in this year's annual event. The drive also collected $1,740 in cash donations for the Pantry.
The chairperson for the drive in Hunterdon County was Laura Millen of Coldwell Banker.
Volunteers from the Association collected donations of non-perishable food items and personal care products from shoppers at ShopRite of Flemington and Clinton and the Bishops Market, Kings Market and WalMart in Whitehouse.
Association volunteers also delivered the donated items to the Pantry where a group of teachers and staff from Whiton Elementary School in Branchburg helped Pantry volunteers with sorting and shelving.
The Flemington Area Food Pantry thanks all of those who helped make this event a success, certainly including the generous folks who donated groceries and cash to the pantry.
The Flemington Area Food Pantry provides supplemental groceries at no cost to about 1,300 needy Hunterdon County Families. For more information, visit our website at http://ift.tt/2egwnuS.
