The purpose of the luncheon was to acknowledge and express appreciation to members of the community who volunteer their time or otherwise support the work of the pantry. More than 50 volunteers attended. The goal of the Sealy Food Pantry is to assist families in Austin County who have insufficient food. The pantry is open every Wednesday, 9 a.m. to noon and the second and the fourth Wednesdays of each month 5:30-7:30 p.m. The evening hours were recently added to make the pantry accessible for people who work or for other reasons are unable to come during daytime hours.
