UPDATE: Mid-Michigan food pantry says clean up crew will begin repairs - WILX-TV

JACKSON, MI (WILX) -- After a mid Michigan food bank was abruptly closed for contamination issues, the place will now be getting some repairs.

The Jackson Community Food Pantry said a clean up crew will begin repair work on the building starting Monday.

The food pantry was shut down on June 19 after a freezer failure caused raw chicken to thaw and contaminate the building

The pantry said it will also be giving away free non-perishable food items on Monday as a way to help the cleaning process.
