LC Good Neighbor Food Pantry opens Aug. 8
LAKE CITY – The Good Neighbor Food Pantry being hosted by the Lake City Evangelical Presbyterian Church will be open to the public on Thursday, Aug. 8.
The food pantry offers fresh food as well as non-perishable foods. Registration takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. with the food distribution from 3 to 6 p.m. In addition to offering food, the church will be providing nutritional information to those who come, including recipes and samples of how to prepare commodities in tasty, healthy ways.
The church is located just east of the McDonald's intersection, next to the former Foster Super's Market.
The Good Neighbor Food Pantry is offered at the church once a month, on the second Thursday. A grant from the Missaukee Area Community Foundation to Feeding America helped to make the food pantry possible.
