Kosher Food Pantry fresh produce giveaway Aug. 4 - Cleveland Jewish News

The Kosher Food Pantry will hold its monthly outdoor produce giveaway Aug. 4 in the parking lot at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, 27501 Fairmount Blvd. in Pepper Pike.

Distribution of fresh produce, including melons, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, cabbage, apples, strawberries and onions will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Participants must bring identification and shopping bags.

“Our monthly produce giveaway, under the auspices of the Cleveland Foodbank, is an opportunity for people in our community to have fresh, nourishing vitamin-rich food to feed themselves and their families,” said Devorah Alevsky, director of the Kosher Food Pantry. “Cuyahoga County has the highest number of food insecure residents in the state of Ohio and is home to the largest number of food insecure children in our state. That is why we are doing all we can to fill a critical need.”
