SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Alice's CUP Food Pantry on Main Street is in dire need of volunteers to help feed the more than 200 families they assist each month.
Located in the annex of the Spotswood Reformed Church, the pantry provides food for any Middlesex County resident in need. Volunteers staff the food bank, which sits right between the Main Street church and the Verizon building. Alice's CUP is a client choice pantry. A client choice pantry allows recipients to choose food based on the size of the family, personal preference and dietary restrictions.
Alice's CUP is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. as well as on Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Volunteers should be 19 years of age or older and are needed for all shifts.
A volunteer typically work two-hour shifts in either the morning, afternoon or evening. Interested parties can volunteer once a week, bi-weekly or once a month. The pantry is flexible and willing try to work out a time that bests fits into the volunteer's schedule.
