A popular Southern restaurant has closed its doors in Berkeley Park.
Annie Mae’s Pantry announced the closure on its Instagram account late last week, Eater Atlanta reported.
Dear, Atlanta, after much thought and consideration, I've decided to officially close Annie Mae's Pantry. Thank you to everyone who supported us, became our friends, and shared amazing moments at our table. It has been an incredible journey. Even though we have officially fried our last fish, and
smoked our last yardbird I will continue to share our amazing memories with you! My original goal was to write a cook book, and as soon as the dust settles, I'm looking forward to sharing that journey with you too!

Owner Hall, also the founder of CamiCakes and CamiCakes Creamery, opened Annie Mae’s in 2017 as an ode at her grandmother, Annie Mae Norton.
The menu included items such as smoked chicken, “fishing pole finds” including shrimp and grits, catfish po’boys and fried trout on a grits cake, sandwiches and salads, as well as a variety of cakes.

AJC food writer Wendell Brock gave Annie Mae’s pantry a largely positive review in early 2018, writing, “At this easy-breezy, fast-casual, chicken-and-fish place on the Westside, diners can sit in rocking chairs, sipping sweet tea and lemonade infused with vanilla bean, then sit down to a delicious, soulful meal that’s a contemporary response to Southern comforts of yesteryear.”
