A local food pantry is in need of a few things, but so far it's shelves are looking pretty good before the holidays.
The Amen Food Pantry in Dickinson has been around for more than 30 years.
Right now, the non-profit said it is in need of toiletries like toothpaste, body wash, and shampoo.
The pantry is open three days a week and serves around 20 families during those 3 days.
So far staff said the community has been great donating items for families this Thanksgiving.
"We have had businesses that have donated turkeys, and we have had private families that have donated turkeys. We are well fixed for turkeys for Thanksgiving," said Susie Kapelovitz, operator of Amen Food Pantry.
The pantry is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Families in need must first have a voucher from a city or county agency before visiting this food pantry.
