KEARNEY — Family Fresh Market in Kearney and the SpartanNash Foundation donated $3,475 to the Community Action Food Bank.
The donation will help Community Action Food Bank operate its mobile produce pantries which travel to a different town in Buffalo County every two weeks and also goes to Minden and Holdrege to give out food to others in need of food.
Family Fresh Store Director Dusty Luther presented the food bank donation to Kyla Martin, Community Action Food Bank’s administrative staff.
Companywide, SpartanNash, together with store guests — had the opportunity to donate $1, $5 or $10 at any checkout lane — and company associates, raised $278,105 for more than 100 food pantries and food banks in eight states: Nebraska, Iowa, South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
