SHREVEPORT, La - Monday marks the start of the 2018 Pack the Pantry School Food Drive. Elementary, Middle and High Schools all over Northwest Louisiana is celebrating by giving back.
The Food bank of Northwest Louisiana and the following sponsors: NBC 6 News; Brookshire's Grocery Company, Fito Lay, and Pepsi Beverage Company are hosting the food drive.
In 2017, a total of 69,908 pounds of food was collected from area schools.
All participating schools must arrange self-delivery of your food items to the Food Bank, 2307 Texas Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103 before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9th.
During the week of November 14th, winners of the challenge will be announced.
