A grand opening for Vikings Vault, the new Jefferson College student food pantry program, is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Student Center on the Hillsboro campus. A ribbon-cutting will be included.
Vikings Vault is located on the north end and lower level of the Student Center
The pantry not only offers students food, but also personal hygiene supplies and baby care items. Those who attend the grand opening are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the vault.
The event also will include speakers, photos and the chance to check out the pantry from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
