POPLARVILLE, MS (WDAM) -
A new food pantry for students in need will open its doors Monday on the Poplarville Campus of Pearl River Community College.
"The Market" has all sorts of non-perishable food items and is available for students or staff.
All that is needed to access the pantry is a current PRCC ID.
Hours for the pantry are 12:30-2:00 p.m., Monday-Wednesday and by appointment.
The pantry is in "The Station," a building that was the former campus police department.
That building also houses the "Wildcat Career Closet," which has free, donated clothing that men and women students can use for class presentations or job interviews.
A ribbon-cutting for the new pantry is scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m.
