BOZEMAN - April 22 marks National Earth Day. Montana State University’s Bounty of the Bridgers Food Pantry hosted an Earth Day Garden Event to recognize the planet.
There were gardening activities, food tastings, and a raffle. Kids also made planting pots by decorating plastic cups and containers. They used these containers to plant seeds, which they got to take home with them. Kids also planted in the garden where the produce will be raised and used in the summer and fall for MSU students.
“Yeah it's interesting working with kids and it brings more to the project. Having that enthusiasm and they help us get a lot more done,” said Event Coordinator Aubree Pierce.
