Food pantry Sunday with ND players - South Bend Tribune

SOUTH BEND — Members of the Notre Dame football team will help to package and give out food at a drive-through pantry for needy residents from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 S. Chapin St.

Boxes of food — including dairy, grains, produce and protein items — will be given to the first 200 households who arrive. There is a limit of one box per family. Recipients shouldn’t line up before 4 p.m., the Food Bank advises, for the safety of volunteers and others.

Coach Brian Kelly and his wife, Paqui, are expected to present a check from their charity, the Kelly Cares Foundation, at 5 p.m. for the Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program.
