SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Recent research shows that nearly 50 percent of students on local college campuses do not have the money or resources to always have food.
The California Coast Credit Union partnered with local community colleges and the San Diego Food Bank to launch a food drive campaign called Pack the Pantry.
Rene McKee, Senior Vice President of Community & Public Relations at CCCU, and Dr. Cindy Miles, Chancellor of Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College District, were in studio to tell us more.
Nov. 4 – 18, non-perishable food collection bins will be placed at all:
- 25 Cal Coast branch locations
- San Diego County community college campuses (and the campuses of Imperial Valley College in Imperial County and Mt. San Jacinto Community College in Riverside County)
