GLYNDON, Minn. — A church in Glyndon is home to the region's newest food pantry.
The pantry is inside Glyndon Lutheran Church, 414 Parke Ave. S., across the street from Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School. It's open to anyone that lives in rural Clay County, western Becker County or Norman County regardless of income level.
The pantry is run by REACH, which also runs the Weekend BackPack program; a program where kids' backpacks are filled up with healthy meals to take home. Organizers said 63 kids at Glyndon-Felton Elementary benefit from the program.
"Right now we are providing weekend backpacks for six school districts and providing backpacks for over 660 kids," said REACH executive director Peggie Chisholm.
The pantry is open Tuesdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
