KANE — The Kane Area Food Pantry monthly distribution will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church in Kane.
The food pantry entrance is on the Haines Street side of the church, at the corner of Chase and Haines streets.
Anyone who wishes to receive food items is asked to come at the following times, according to the first letter of their last name. For August, the schedule is:
• noon to 1 p.m. F through K
• 1 to 2 p.m. L through R
• 2 to 3 p.m. S through Z
• 3 to 4 p.m. A through E
Participants must come during their scheduled time, or after that time. Bring a box or other container to carry items home. Also, they should bring proof of identity, address and income if this is their first visit of the year, or if there are any changes since their last time at the food pantry. Only people living in the Kane Area School District are eligible.
