Farm Credit Services awards the Ryder Community Food Pantry $5,000 | News, Sports, Jobs - Minot Daily News

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota recently announced that is has awarded the Ryder Community Food Pantry $5,000 as a recipient of the Rural Community Grant Fund. The grant funds will help purchase furniture and appliances for the food pantry.

Kathy Kimball, manager of the Ryder Community Food Pantry, was pleased to accept the check and utilize the grant funds towards purchasing these much needed items.

“Farm Credit is excited to provide grant funds to the Ryder Community Food Pantry to help them purchase appliances and furniture that will enhance the storage capacity at the food pantry,” says Dan Beyer, SVP – Marketing with Farm Credit Services of North Dakota. The additional storage capacity will be extremely helpful for the meal programs they provide the community and Farm Credit feels strongly that it’s important to give back to the community. “The impact of the facility providing individuals and families in need is a very worthy project. We are proud to help support their community needs,” Beyer adds.

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota, Farm Credit Services of Mandan and AgriBank, established the Rural Community Grant Fund to assist in the implementation and development of projects and programs in communities and rural areas in western North Dakota which have been impacted by mineral exploration.

The Rural Community Grant Fund is currently accepting applications for future funding requests. Interested parties can apply at www.farmcreditnd.com.
