OMAHA — Food Bank for the Heartland is partnering with Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska to host a free mobile food pantry Thursday in Pleasanton.

The pantry will run from 10 a.m. until all the food has been distributed. The mobile pantry will take place at the Pleasanton Community Hall at 202 N. Sycamore St.

Approximately 2,700 pounds of food will be available for distribution and will include bottled water, frozen vegetables, fresh potatoes and other produce and assorted bakery items. Disaster pantry packs will also be offered. They are 15-pound prepacked boxes filled with various nonperishable items.

Those attending the mobile pantry are asked to bring boxes or bags to carry the food they receive. Volunteers will be available to help recipients. No identification is required to obtain food.
