LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - An organization distributed 25,000 pounds of food in Bay County Saturday.
Feeding Gulf Coast hosted a food giveaway at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church where the group distributed food to hundreds of people.
The giveaway included non-perishable items and fresh fruit and meat.
This is more than double the amount of food that has been given away at the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church.
"As time has gone on, people have left, as they do after tragedies and storms, but the need is still there and so that's what we're happy to be able to provide for," said the Director of Hospitality Ministries for Lynn Haven United Methodist Church, Heather Howell.
The church plans on getting another shipment of food in on April 13th.
