TRENTON, SC (WRDW/WAGT) -- As NWS officials comb the area in support of a tornado touchdown in the CSRA, they may need to get to Trenton in Edgefield County.

That's because the storm that whipped through that area destroyed a church's food pantry on State Highway 19.

New and Living Way Apostolic Church's food pantry was shredded by the storm on Sunday afternoon that also injured at least seven people in the county.

"Lord, are you roaring? That was my question," Pastor William Cue said.

It's no coincidence to the church. Cue preached about the Lord's roar on Sunday morning.

"The roar of God, the nation world, and things that God looks at displeased," Cue said.

"When I came here last night, I said, 'Lord, I hear your roar.'"

As a result of the destruction, canned goods, chicken, refrigerators, boxes and the rest were scattered across the ground.

There are now nothing but questions in the rubble of what remained.

The loss weighed heavy on the mind of congregant Gloria Glover.

"Then I began to think about the news I had heard where there were people who not only lost their possessions, but they lost their life," Glover said.

Despite the destruction, Glover's faith is as strong as ever.

"I do have faith that God is going to restore all of this, and its going to be better than it was," Glover said.

The church is now asking for help. You can donate food, kitchen appliances, or money through the church's website.
