Following their traditions of supporting food-challenged area residents, two local lending institutions have made gifts to the Portage Township Food Pantry. Both the Member’s Advantage Credit Union and Chase Bank have blessed the pantry with donations of $500.
The pantry board would also like to express its appreciation to the members of Portage First Presbyterian Church who have provided space in their facility so the pantry could continue operations after the Garyton School was put up for sale; and also to the members of Ogden Dunes Community Presbyterian Church who gave $1,800 and several hundred pounds of food raised through a special event before Christmas.
