
WATERLOO — Because of time conflicts, the Apostolic Pentecostal Church food pantry has changed its hours.
A remodeling project also means the pantry will be closed until 4:40 to 6 p.m. Feb 20.
It also will be open on the third Tuesday of each month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Emergency food boxes are available upon request.

CALMAR — A community blood drive for Calmar, Spillville and Ossian is set for 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Calmar Lutheran Church, 200 N. East St.
Diversity group to meet Feb. 12
CEDAR FALLS — Cedar Valley Discuss, Discover Diversity will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Cedar Falls Public Library’s large meeting room.
There will be a discussion of Kristine Barnett’s “THE SPARK: A Mother’s Story of Nurturing, Genius, Autism.”
The nonfiction book of a mother trying to raise a child with an IQ higher than Einstein’s.
The discussion will be led by Mary Dove and guest speaker Mike Dierdorff.
All residents of the Cedar Valley are welcome, and there is no requirement to have read the book.
