BRISTOL BOROUGH >> Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 212 and the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe Street, teamed up recently to replenish the shelves at the Bristol Borough Food Pantry.
As an incentive, the Grundy Foundation offered a $1,000 challenge grant to benefit the pantry. Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 212 met one requirement of the challenge by collecting close to 200 pounds over the 1,500 pounds minimum, while the children’s summer reading clubs successfully met the 50,000 minutes cumulative reading goal with more than 4,000 minutes to spare.
Congratulations to all the Boy Scouts and readers who made the food collection drive a success.
