ELF students help stock food pantry
The Dominion Post
OSAGE — Dozens of youngsters at Morgantown Early Learning Facility (ELF) got a lesson in empathy Nov. 30 as they restocked the Scott’s Run Settlement House food pantry.
Filling the food pantry after Thanksgiving has become a tradition for Morgantown ELF. The children and their families collected canned goods and other items that the students delivered Wednesday.
Morgantown ELF Director Stacey Quinlan said the kids were excited about the delivery. Many began talking about it as soon as they arrived at the school’s two sites.
“It’s really nice that they’re able to get out in the community to help others, to learn empathy, to be able to share this experience with their family, and during the holiday season to be able to give back when they can,” Quinlan said.
