MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair has issued an urgent call for turkey donations. Based in Montclair, the pantry serves a large area of Essex County. More than half of the clients are in Bloomfield.
Pantry Director Mike Bruno reports that turkey donations for 2016 are behind what was donated last year. The pantry also needs cranberry sauce and pie fillings, but the most urgent need is turkey.
The pantry will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday Nov. 21 and 22 for donation drop offs.
The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair is located at 9 Label St. in Montclair. It is the building next to the Egan and Sons parking lot.
Eligible clients pick up food at the pantry. Food is delivered to homebound seniors and the mobility challenged. All clients of the pantry must meet qualification criteria to become eligible for supplemental nutrition assistance.
