New location open for St. Joseph's food pantry - KGWN

St. Joseph's food pantry has been serving the community for years, but a new building is helping volunteers better serve our community.
The new location is at 206 Van Lennen Ave. in Cheyenne and is over 5,000 square feet. The building holds twice the amount of food the old location could hold, and is able to give shelter to more visitors and volunteers during the cold winter months.

Once a week, the pantry provides one box of food to anyone in need in Laramie county. I.D. is required to pick up your box of food.

Over 80 volunteers lend their time to St. Joseph's food pantry and coordinator Eva Estorga says the volunteers make it all possible. "Without them, I mean they're the ones that do all the work, from receiving the food to packing it and giving it out" said Estorga, "Its totally amazing and its a blessing that were able to do that ".

The new location has a large freezer, so they are able to accept perishable food donations as well.

The St. Joseph's food pantry is open from 10am-1pm Monday through Thursday. An open house to celebrate the new location will be held Saturday October 15th from 10am to 1pm. Lunch will be provided to all visitors.
