Pantry Plus More gets supplies for schools
The Dominion Post
MORGANTOWN — The concrete expanse of Monongalia County Court House Square was filled with food items Sept. 16.
The take was the end result of a food drive launched by Pantry Plus More, an outreach organization that wants to put food pantries in all 21 of Monongalia County’s public schools.
The goal is to help the county combat food insecurity — or, not getting enough to eat to sustain one’s self nutritionally.
Roark Sizemore, a recent Morgantown High graduate who helped found the organization, said one out four students in Monongalia experience food nutrition daily.
