HONOR Expands Food Pantry Experience, Makes It More Dignified - Spectrum News

The HONOR Food Pantry in Middletown now allows people to shop up and down aisles to choose the foods they put in their cart. Previously, individuals were handed bags with food already inside.

HONOR's Executive Director Christopher Molinelli says this pantry is essential, providing around $10,000 meals per year to residents throughout Orange County.

It's tremendously important for us at HONOR to ensure those who recieve our services, receive it with the highest level of dignity and integrity. We want individuals to come in and, at a moment where they're struggling or vulnerable, we want them to feel the power of choice," Molinelli said.

The pantry also expanded to a bigger space, created a waiting room for people in line, and is now in the process of creating a new outside deck area.
