The Connecticut Food Bank’s mobile food pantry scheduled for Friday June 14 has been cancelled, according to the town social services director.
Town residents in need can access the food pantry at town hall from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, director Tony Philips said in an email. First Congregational Church also has a food pantry available by appointment.
He said residents can find more information on food resources in town on the social services website.
There are other mobile food pantry distributions scheduled in nearby towns including: Monday June 17, and Tuesday June 18 in Bridgeport; Friday June 21, in Southbury; and Saturday June 22, in Norwalk.
A complete list of upcoming mobile food pantry drop-offs can also be found online at the state’s food bank website.
Residents in need of pet supplies can also call the ROAR animal shelter for donated supplies at 203-438-0158.
Their hours are:
Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 11-3;
Thursday and Friday: 6pm-8pm;
Sun: 12-2;
Tuesday and Wednesday: CLOSED
