This Saturday Keller Williams Realty hosted a shred event, and this time the Community Food Pantry was invited to accept donations for their pantry in exchange for shredding.
"Our friends at Keller Williams holds this shredding event and this year they invited us to join them. For a small donation or a bag of food people in the community are bale to shred their items." Said Said Barbra Monroy Director of the Community Food Pantry.
The shred event invites people from the community to shred their outdated bank statements, checks, contracts and legal agreements.
"This is a local food pantry who delivers food to people in need and we are trying to bring awareness and support whether it is through donations contributions to get them exposure." Said Staci Nauman a Independent Realtor with Keller Williams.
The Community Food Pantry provides emergency food to those in need in the greater Reno/Sparks area.
"We feed about 22,000 people every year and we recently added a mobile distribution." Said Monroy.
The Community Food Pantry receives its food through a partnership with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, contributions from local grocery stores and generous donations from individuals and families.
