BETHEL — State Reps. Will Duff, R-Bethel, and Stephen Harding, R-Brookfield, have wrapped up a food drive that collected more than 100 pounds of items for families in need.

The February food drive garnered 128 pounds of food for the Bethel Community Food Pantry.

“I was proud to lend a helping hand to Bethel residents who are in-need of a helping hand,” Duff said in a statement. “This successful food drive proves that if we all work together we can make a difference in our community.”

Those in need can visit the pantry every other Tuesday to receive non-perishable food, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables and, when available, meat and dairy products. The pantry also provides items not covered by food stamps, such as toilet paper, shampoo, deodorant and laundry detergent.

“Thank you to all those who helped out and participated,” Harding said in a statement. “It is always heartwarming to see the amazing sense of community throughout Bethel and the entire 107th district.”
