Food pantry demand surges over holidays - The Dominion Post

KINGWOOD — More than 2,006 people were helped by area food pantries in December.

Tammy Laney, director of Food for Preston, said programs provide assistance for 1,700 people each month. During the holidays, she said, that number increases 18 percent.
