KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – A Kettering church pantry needs your help stocking its shelves. Volunteers at Epiphany Lutheran Church say requests for assistance are at an all time high. Social Service agencies the pantry works with believe it’s because there are more homeless in the area. Requests also tend to spike around the holidays and when the weather turns cold.
“We don’t realize the true need that’s out there and we really feel like we’re helping even if it’s just a little bit,” says Sandy Houpt volunteer with the pantry.
The pantry is in need of gently used clothing, especially coats, personal hygiene items and non perishable foods.
You can drop off donations at the church located at 6430 Far Hills avenue.
