The Sutherlin Oakland Emergency Pantry was awarded $5,000 grant from The Ford Family Foundation's Holiday Giving Program to help the Pantry during the holiday season.

The funds will purchase food items for a holiday box for pantry clients. The box will provide a complete holiday meal with ham, potatoes, vegetables, bread, milk and dessert.

The total budget for the project is $7,000 with the additional expenses provided by United Methodist Church of Wilbur, Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit of Sutherlin, Love Abounds Foundation and Earl Wallman.

The pantry is open on Monday and Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at 183 East First Avenue, Sutherlin.
