Bridgeport mobile food pantry adds additional date in August

BRIDGEPORT — City residents looking for free, fresh food can visit the mobile food pantry at St. Vincent’s Friday afternoon.

The food pantry will be open from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the medical center parking lot, 2800 Main St.

Normally the food pantry operates on the fourth Friday of every month, but the Connecticut Food Bank is sponsoring an additional date.

Residents should bring reusable grocery bags.

The food pantry will still be open on its regularly scheduled date, Aug. 23, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
