The Becker County Food Pantry joined food shelves across the state as participants in the annual food drive, which is coordinated by Hunger Solutions Minnesota. The 2019 campaign began Feb. 25 and concluded April 7.
All food and cash donations collected in the month of March go towards an incentive award from Greater Minneapolis Community Connections (GMCC). With more than 300 food shelves in the state on Minnesota eligible to compete in the campaign, the more money and food ($1 is equal to a pound of food) collected, the more the Food Pantry is eligible to receive from GMCC.
