EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A pair of local non-profits teamed up Friday afternoon in an effort to make food more to the community.
Feed my People Food Bank hosted a pop-up pantry at the Community Table in Eau Claire Friday. The pantry offered a variety of food, dry and paper good items for families and individuals to take home.
Pop-up pantries are hosted in different locations throughout the community this summer.
Turkey primavera was served Friday, and all of the ingredients needed to make it at home were offered along with the recipe.
"The whole pouring of the partnership too is that we don't want folks that are food insecure to be afraid to cook and use fresh produce, so be able to cook the meal that you can have at home, I hope that really inspires those that come in through our doors to say 'wow, I can eat healthy,” said Michelle Koehn, executive director of the Community Table.
