The Northwest Arkansas Community College received a $6,000 grant from the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank for the NWACC Food Pantry.

The grant will expand the current NWACC Food Pantry to three times its current size, as well as offer additional types of foods. The funds will also be used to purchase equipment like a refrigerator and freezer.

" We are thankful for this gift front the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank," said Dr. Evelyn E. Jorgenson, NWACC President. "Many NWACC students and their families will beneift from additional types of food we will be able to offer."

The pantry, which started in September 2015, has fed over 500 students, employees and their families. The new funds will help the pantry provide fresh meat, produce and dairy to those who utilize the pantry.
